Look for these common warning signs of vision problems:

  • squinting, closing, or covering one eye
  • holding a book close to his or her face
  • losing his or her place while reading
  • extreme clumsiness
  • using a finger while reading
  • tilting the head to one side
  • short attention span or often daydreaming
  • rubbing eyes repeatedly
