If you're planning on having a baby, you can begin preparing your body for pregnancy now.

Eating well, exercising, reaching a healthy weight, taking a multivitamin with 0.4 milligrams (400 micrograms) of folic acid, and not smoking are some of the ways you can get your body ready for nurturing a baby.

Be sure to use birth control until you are ready to start trying to get pregnant.
